Study zone
Study zones are defined by a combination of Local Government Areas (LGAs) and codes are allocated from 1 within each State. Code lists of LGAs and their Sections are given in the `1971 Census Code List of Local Government Areas in Statistical Divisions' (C71LGA.PDF).
