Locality

A locality code is assigned to every population cluster of 200 persons or more. Locality codes are assigned in alphabetical order within each State or Territory. The code 99999 is assigned to CD's in the Migratory Statistical Division. Where population clusters comprise more than one LGA Section, the CD's in each component LGA Section are assigned the same locality code.
