State Suburb Code

This code has only been used by QLD, W. A. and TAS. as follows:

QLD. Within some LGA's suburbs have been given a 3 digit numeric code allocated in suburb alphabetical order within LGA as follows:

Brisbane	repeated State Area Codes
Ipswich	001-015
Redcliffe	001-007
Gladstone	001-025
Cairns	001-013
Mt Isa	001-020

In addition, localities in the LGA's of Albert (S) (part B.S.D.), Beaudesert (S), Moreton (S) (part BAD.) and Pine Rivers (S) have been allocated State Suburb Codes in the same way as the above-mentioned LGA's.

W.A. A three digit numeric code has been allocated to suburbs within the Perth Statistical Division in suburb alphabetical order, beginning with 001.

TAS. 3 digit codes have been allocated to suburbs in Hobart (100--l99), Launceston (200-299) and Burnie (300~399).
